SR. DIRECTOR OF BRAND MARKETING

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Director of Brand Marketing will lead the way on creating authentic brand experiences that customers will love, communicated across all touchpoint, including catalog, web, and stores. This position will work directly with the Founder/ CEO to come up with original and relevant campaigns, then bring these new adventures and brand stories to life. As a key member of the core leadership team, the Senior Director of Brand Marketing will be responsible for defining the company’s brand marketing strategy as well as developing and implementing new campaigns with the goal of amplifying awareness, equity, engagement, and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BRAND STRATEGY

  • Partner with CEO to ideate engaging campaigns for retail, catalog, digital/social, e-commerce and events
  • Oversee brand and marketing teams to execute said campaigns to meet company goals for sales, new customer acquisition and other key metrics
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, creative, e-commerce, product, and distribution teams to ensure consistency and success across all business channels

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Facilitate the creative process and cultivate the creative abilities of others
  • Ensure smooth collaboration across multiple departments on complex campaigns
  • Oversee multiple projects and maintain accountability with key stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved

BRAND STEWARDSHIP

  • Oversee art direction, creative resources, and production to visually tell the brand story across all mediums, including online and in-store
  • Manage social media presence and influencer campaigns to ensure that the right stories are communicated and on brand
  • Produce creative briefs, art direct, and oversee creative team’s production of compelling photography,video content, graphics, and other editorial materials on deadline and within budget

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent years of experience
  • 7-10 years of consumer brand and retail marketing experience gained through agency or in-house work including at least producing print/catalog, e-commerce, video, social & digital content creation
  • Experience as an authentic brand advocate, storyteller, curator, and clear communicator
  • Demonstrated connection to the product, values, lifestyle and brand ethos you represent
  • Passion for generating brand awareness and acquiring new customers
  • Strong tendency to roll up your sleeves and get things done with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and lead high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
